Introduction

Watch Pete and Jon dive into Botika.io - a creative AI tool that promises to transform how fashion brands generate visuals. Watch as we upload our product shots, pick AI models, fine-tune backgrounds, and dissect the results. Can it live up to it's promises?

What is Botika?

Botika is an AI-powered platform that transforms standard fashion product photos into polished, on-model images - without the expense or logistics of traditional shoots. It's capable of delivering some great visuals using AI-generated models and backgrounds, helping brands scale quickly and cost-efficiently .

What We Put to the Test

  • Uploading on-model source images, plus flat-lay and on-mannequin.

  • Selecting AI-generated avatars representing diverse body types, ethnicities, and styles.

  • Trying out various backgrounds for visual mood shifts.

  • Experiencing the turnaround time of images and video.

  • Reviewing image quality and the overall UX.

Highlights & Insights

Instant visual elevation: Botika lets you transform basic product shots of garments into vibrant on-model images in just a few clicks—no studio, no models, no fuss .

Simple to use: There's no training or manual needed. Botika have done a great job of making the UX simple, intuitive and minimalist.

Cost and time savers: According to Botika, visual production costs can drop by up to 90%, with time to market accelerated 10-fold . That's a pretty bold claim - and we found it performed really well in some areas - particularly where you have the garments warn by a basic fit-model where you want to simply replace the background and models face/body.

Diverse visual output: The platform offers a wide variety of AI-generated models—across age and ethnicity—making it easy to align visuals with brand identity and inclusivity goals.

Mobile‑friendly workflow: Botika even provides a mobile app—perfect for busy teams needing fashion content on-the-go.

Human fixes: If you spot glitches in your AI-produced images, the software allows you to highlight the issue and report it, where a human will attempt to fix it for you (within 24 hours).

Where It Can Improve

Mixed user feedback: While some users rave about ease and quality, others report slow generation times (we experienced 10-15 minutes per generation) or inconsistent results. This is understandable, as most AI models still glitch from time to time. You'll see in our video review, some images were perfect first time, others had issues.

Limited creative freedom: The platform doesn't yet allow you to select models older than 50 years, or children. Nor can you select different body sizes. There are also only a limited number of backgrounds currently to choose from, and none of them have winter scenes yet. Flat-lays, on-mannequin, and pose selection features are still in beta only (although from our testing they do look promising).

Accessory and category limitations: Photos with accessories like hats or jewellery may not translate cleanly, and categories like choosing footwear or cosmetics aren’t supported yet.

Bottom Line

Botika.io aims to democratise eye-catching fashion photoshoots for e-commerce and advertisements. For retailers and agencies short on time and budget, it offers a compelling shortcut to professional visuals. If you’re seeking on-brand upgrade and speed - and can tolerate a bit of AI inconsistency - it’s an excellent tool in your digital arsenal. And like most AI tools in 2025, it will only get better as the generative image models progress. Certainly one to watch!
